Friday 20 September the exhibition on the Research Group opened in Het Stadsmus, Hasselt. At that occasion the accompanying publication was also presented.
The show around this group consisting of Jos Jans, Dré Sprankenis, Hélène Keil, Hugo Duchateau, Jan Withofs and their teacher Vincent Van den Meersch, is the result of a fantastic collaboration with scenographer Jo Klaps, graphic designer Geoffrey Brusatto and the team of Het Stadsmus (City Museum). During the very well attended opening The School – Pablo Hannon and Stef Lemmens presented the performance The School is an Apple.
Sara Bomans had her students create scale models on the basis of interviews with artists and studio visits (photos to follow).
The publication (Dutch with English and French summaries) was realised with support by the Flemish Community and is available in the museum and selected bookshops in Hasselt at 30 euros.
